In this episode, Aspire founder and leadership consultant Randy Hall welcomes special guest Jennifer Ballinger, Practice Manager at Pinellas Animal Hospital.
Ms. Ballinger began her career in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant in 2000, then became a licensed technician, and in 2009, Jennifer moved into her current position as Practice Manager. She discusses her career journey and the challenges she faced transitioning from a technical role to a leadership role and what she learned about herself in the process.
One challenge Ms. Ballinger describes was overcoming a negative practice culture. Jennifer shares how she and the team at Pinellas Animal Hospital used Aspire’s courses and resources to help them to shift their culture, identify areas for improvement, communicate more openly, and collaboratively work to achieve common goals.
